Description

Habitat for Humanity of Dane County has been offering classes to denied applicants to give them the tools and knowledge they need to fix the issues with their eligibility to increase their success on re-application.

Come hear about the class, mentor recruiting, and success stories. We will share our collaboration efforts and materials associated with our Habitat Readiness program, answer questions and use your ideas to improve the class for the future.

Paul Sukenik, HFH of Dane County

Paul Sukenik grew up in rural Portage Wisconsin the youngest of 5 children.  He is a 38-year survivor of Brain Cancer which he was diagnosed with at the age of 19.  He attended UW Whitewater where he received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance with an Emphasis in Real Estate.  While attending Whitewater, Paul served as a Resident Assistant and Head Resident Assistant.  Paul met his wife Brenda while they were both RA’s in Whitewater’s Wells Hall.  Paul was a member of the Board for the campus’ Finance Association and was a founding member and first president of the Real Estate Chapter of the Finance Association.

Paul left the Banking industry after 25 years and now works as the Vice President of Community Services for Habitat for Humanity of Dane County.  Since 2016 Paul has closed on 101 homes with Habitat Families in Dane County.  Working closer with families and helping them realize their dreams were influential in his career change.
