Get access to the most current information related to the new Safeguarding Policy #34. Learn the steps needed to ensure full compliance with the policy as well as available resources. All Habitat entities should be working towards safeguarding compliance. This workshop will get you started on understanding safeguarding and the importance of compliance for the full Habitat network.

Dawn Daniels McNear, US/Canada Safeguarding Advisor, HFHI

Ms. Daniels McNear has been with Habitat for Humanity International since 2007; now proudly serving as the US/Canada Safeguarding Advisor. She spent 6 years with MidOhio Habitat in Columbus, Ohio as the Family Services Director; and over 8 years as the Associate Director of the Affiliate Support Center. She currently serves as the Board Chair for an anti-human trafficking organization (Lifebeyondthestreets.org)

Dawn believes that her academic background (BA, Ohio Wesleyan University) coupled with her event filled employment career (former gang counselor, working with suicide teens, human trafficking work and as a Head Start social worker) has prepared her for assisting affiliates with the multi-faceted areas involved with Safeguarding.
