Sandy Smith, HFHI

An accomplished nonprofit executive, Sandy Smith has in-depth experience leading transformational change for complex affiliated organizations, including the American Red Cross. Outside of her work with international nongovernmental organizations, Sandy has deep roots in the arts, including serving as chief development officer with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and leading collaboration on the campus of the Woodruff Arts Center in Atlanta, GA.

Currently Vice President, Resource Development Transformation at Habitat for Humanity’s global headquarters, Sandy works with leaders of Habitat’s U.S. affiliated network to co-create and implement a collaborative fundraising model that positions Habitat for sustainable growth, relevance, and mission impact. 

Prior to her current role, Sandy served for five years as Habitat for Humanity International’s Senior Director of Individual Giving, leading a highly experienced and successful national fundraising team and growing collaboration with the affiliated network. 

Sandy is considered a national nonprofit leader and strategist in fundraising, board governance, volunteer management, event management and donor experience, and is highly sought after for speaking engagements, consulting and mentoring.
