Attend this info session about our statewide AmeriCorps VISTA program and how your organization could host a VISTA member this fall.

Since 2012, Habitat for Humanity of Wisconsin has managed a statewide VISTA program, focused on building capacity for Habitat affiliates across the state. We have seen the value VISTAs provide: developing partnerships, creating new programs, improving volunteer management and retention, and increasing resources. For many affiliates, their increased ability to help more individuals and families over the past several years is due to the passion and commitment of VISTA members.

While affordable housing and homeownership are important components of thriving communities, we know they are not the only building blocks. Housing, health, education, and equality are all intertwined. We would like to invite other nonprofits in Wisconsin, whose mission is tied to alleviating poverty, to consider hosting a VISTA member to help build or expand programs.

HFH Wisconsin has found that VISTA volunteers are often exactly the right people to help turn possibilities into realities. The VISTA program is also an opportunity to mentor the leaders of tomorrow, who will continue to uplift our communities and move Wisconsin “forward.”
